Hello, I’m Beth, a professional freelance Makeup Artist specialising in Occasion and Bridal makeup based in the Scottish Borders.
I have always had a passion for makeup and the beauty industry, and I have an extensive background in Makeup with over 7 years experience, from working on makeup counters for high-end brands such as MAC and Bareminerals, to TV work for a Scottish crime drama.
However my main passion is Bridal and Occasion makeup which I provide throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK.
Through many years of self teaching and my previous work I have gained vast experience in working with different skin types, various age groups and many varied makeups from natural and minimalist to more bold and glamorous looks.
As well as this, I completed an HND in Makeup Artistry at Edinburgh College and have a Diploma in Beauty Therapy which helps me greatly when coming to choose the best products for each individuals skin type and allows me to assist with any skincare queries. I also continue to learn new skills and keep up to date by taking classes from other makeup artists.
With my extensive training and expertise in bridal makeup, I use only the highest quality products and techniques to ensure that your makeup lasts all day and photographs beautifully. I work closely with you to understand your preferences and ensure that you feel comfortable and relaxed on your special day.
I use many renowned brands day to day including MAC, Nars, Charlotte Tilbury, Estée Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Laura mercier among many others.
For wedding bookings I am available to travel throughout Scotland and further if required.
I would always recommend doing a Trial prior to your wedding day so that we can meet, discuss exactly what you’re looking for and do a run through of the makeup to figure out what look will work best for you. By doing this I have found that it makes everything run so much smoother on the day and you will feel much more comfortable knowing how you will look beforehand and confident the makeup will last all day.
Trials normally take around 1 hour 30 minutes and I recommend for this to be done within 3 months prior to your wedding day if possible.
